SOME GENERAL DATA

Bob Smallwood (Robert C., Sr.) is a 66 year old man who hails originally from Maryland. He has been married 4 times to date and has 10 children. He is not a high school graduate, but is a savvy, manipulative person who often pretends to be a rich inventor, or entrepreneur and businessman. He claims he is well known in the lighting industry and in the computer industry. He frequently claims inventions which are not his, and has one standing patent from the late 90's which turned out to be defective called "Master Lite Power Distribution System". He has one other patent (though the inventor is really Earl Crandall) and it is owned by Pure Spectrum, Inc. in Savannah Georgia, attached as a result of million dollar judgments against Smallwood in 2004.

Bob claims that he is the inventor of the half bridge design found in flourescent lights today, and recently made claims that he was the inventor of the spiral form of compact flourescent bulbs. These claims are untrue. He claims that his inventions have many certifications which cannot be found. He also claims inventions which are owned by others, usually in Asia (China and Korea) which he "licenses" to people he can convince of his prowess and the marketability of the products, which are often very inflated. He can be very convincing, but usually he makes deals or sells stock which will never produce much, and he takes the money and uses it as though it were his own bank account. Sometime later, investors discover that the companies are a mess, financially insolvant, and Smallwood becomes erratic in his explanations for this. By this time, the money has been put elsewhere and finding it can be difficult.

Bob claims to be Christian. He has scammed churches, women, businessmen and women, employees, investors, and anyone else who believes him. His recent MO has been that he is poor and has had companies and technology stolen from him. He plays the victim well. He often calls people with whom he is friendly "brother", yet he has no compunction about taking their money. Often he has people so convinced of either his reputation or his technology, that documentary evidence is not enough to convince people that all of it is for show and frequently full or lies and omissions.

Bob claims that he had cancer and nearly died several years ago. We have no data to support the fact that he was dying, but he may have been ill as a result of many lawsuits against him and his former company, Transworld Lighting, Inc., originally a Virginia company, but later based in Savannah, Georgia. The company is now defunct and many investors lost their money. He was in Hawaii until recently and moved during the first few months of 2008, on the heals of the failure of Bioizer Technologies, a Colorado company which did not succeed, but remains active in Colorado, though not in Hawaii where it was based for research and development.

This man is a con artist and has been successful at it for over 35 years.
