INFORMATION WILL BE POSTED SHORTLY
This blog is being created to warn others about Robert C. Smallwood (Bob Smallwood) who represents himself as being "an innovator in the lighting industry" or "a famous entrepreneur". This man is a con artist and has been successful at it for over 35 years. It is the focus of this blog to put out the public record information so people will be truly able to do their due diligence by simply searching his name. More to follow......

I can concur with your assessment of Bob Smallwoods activities as we are also victims of his con. His M.O. with us was identical to the story you reported. He presents himself as a brilliant inventor who is just down on his luck and with a little financial help, he could revolutionize the lighting and energy world with his inventions. He is very convincing. We put him in contact with several venture capital groups who were very interested in his business, but he always became evasive when the due dilligence process questions arose. We have also been searching for him to settle a debt thru fraudulent representation. He is now working thru a company called Satic Inc., Missoulla, Montana. The company website is listed as www.saticsaver.com; His current partners are a Mr. B.D. Erickson, a former hedge fund agent, and a Mr.Chip Dykeman; a realtor from Knoxville, TN. The website gives contact phone numbers and e-mail address. However, I have been unable to acquire an address for Smallwood. For a period in 2008, he claimed to be living in Ontario, California; but then moved to China. He has been known to attempt to do business in Saudi Arabia, Dubia, and other parts of the middle east. As the other victims of his con's have stated, we would appreciate any information as to his place of residence. His current wife is from Korea, and he claimed to have a manufacturing plant in Weihaun? provence China. I'll check my notes for the correct spelling and post later.

Up-date: Mr. Smallwood claimed to have a Chinese physictist by the name of Guibo Yao, who over saw the manufacturing plant in WEIHAI, China
ReplyDeleteI remember Mr. Yao from early BIOIZER Technologies websites. Bob is actually more familiar with Korea, and as I understand it, is married to a Korean woman (poor girl). I last heard that he moved from Hawaii to California in early 2008. He might go to China, which is a horrendous mess right now, with riots and so on, but Korea seems more likely. He was going regularly to Korea for several years before setting Bioizer up. It has been my opionion that he has been having money wire transferred out of the country. He cannot stay there forever, unless wife has citizenship. Some of my contacts have said that his wife's family lives in California.

I do know about SATIC, Inc., and I emailed Mr. Erickson, who did not seem surprised, but was unsure what to do, given that I am a stranger.

I should also note here that some time ago, maybe two years or so, I had a letter from an attorney representing Satic, who threatened to sue me for $100,000 for loss of business, claiming that Smallwood had nothing to do with their business. PROBLEM: I saved the webpage which had Smallwood as the inventor of the SATIC bulb, and he had the same company registered in Colorado at the time. The whole thing was quite a laugh!
