TAKING CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS NOT TRUE

This is one way Bob can show people what he wants them to believe...that he is an inventor with all these patents. NOT SO.
His name may be on the patents, but I assure you that he could not have invented these things. To begin with, he is not an Engineer, and only has a bit less than a high school education. Secondly, he hires people (with investor's money) or finds a foreign patent to enlarge upon, and someone else does the work. Because Bob is the "money man", that is, using other people's money whether in a current or a past enterprise, he insists on having his name first on the patents. The real inventors work for him, but that's all.
Certainly, Earl Crandall (of Transworld Lighting, Inc.) truly gets the credit for the patents during that time period (early 2000's). He is an engineer and he did all the work. In the end, Bob had not paid him in quite a while and never did, after Transworld failed. Bob's TWL former officers, Vanatta and Howie, took possession of these patents as judgments in lawsuits against Bob. These were million dollar judgments which Bob escaped by bankrupting in Colorado, at the same time he had set up 5 other companies through his attorney, Louis Morrone. Both Bob and his attorney lied numerous times during the deposition in his 2005 bankruptcy case. The "Light switch cover plate" is a plastic piece of junk with a small cassette recorder for messages in it.
The "Master Lite Ballast System" a "power distribution system" was a total failure, did not work, and literally helped kill Elgin Technologies.
Remember, if you are considering investing in Bob's "products", generally they are not worth anything, and every company he has had, has failed, including "PureSpectrum" which is the company which succeeded Transworld Lighting. The claims he or his associates make about their products are not verifiable as energy star or anything else. Its all just MADE UP. Satic is still out there making false claims on their products.

Cons like Bob often blame the people around them so they can look like a victim...for example, "they stole my company", "they tried to have my killed", and when he dumped the women, they "became obsessed with revenge".

SMALLWOOD'S LATEST "STRANGE" BUSINESS Weihai Meitai Electronics, LLC
This new one was begun in April, 2011 and appears to be based in China. However is it registered to Rick Bailey in Englewood Colorado and to Robert C. Smallwood also in Englewood. More to come as I investigate this one.
As far as I know, Limex Technology LLC is still in operation in Denver and Aurora, Colorado and is registered to Rick Bailer, a long time associate of Smallwood's.

Though you can't find a name on either website (other than a couple of foreign gentlemen), I have it on good authority that this is Smallwood's new company. He is using some of the same products as SATIC, which appears to be healthy on the internet, yet is delinquent in its business registration in Montana.
This is yet another company to avoid, since it would not be trustworthy where product or services are concerned. In other words, a Leopard does not change his spots.
Address is given as 1703 East Girard Place Englewood Co 80113. Englewood is one of Bob's haunts and he still has his children and Rick Bailey in that area.

Smallwood's Location and activities are known
Recently, A Private Investigator here in town asked me to do him a favor on a case that I was familiar with. In return, he ran a background and "find" search on Smallwood using the PI database which yielded some 79 pages of information.

THE BIOIZER BULB BECOMES THE SATIC BULB!!
Imagine my hilarity upon checking out Satic's new website www.saticsaver.com. Smallwood's Bioizer light Bulb suddenly appears with a new label on an old picture. Now its the Satic bulb, same thing, same "inventor", though Erickson knows not to list Bob on this website, but still has another out there that does list him. All of these trademarks look like the original trademark for purespectrum, now owned by Bob's old employees whom he fired, as are all of the patents coming out of Transworld Lighting.
Unfortunately, Erickson has hired some others in his little company, and they probably do not know what they are getting into. But Erickson's qualifications look mighty embellished. He seems to be a good student of Bob's. They even claim to be founders of Second Wave, purportedly for underprivileged children. Can't find it on the web though. This is one of Bob's marketing ploys. Behaving as though he is a nice Christian man. Give us a break!!

NEW INFORMATION
Sorry we have not posted for some time. We thought it would make sense to alert people that one of our contributers has been threatened with a lawsuit with damages, for defamation of SATIC. The claim was that the company had absolutely nothing to do with Smallwood, nor were they associated with him in any way. The alleged "defamation" had cost them $100,000 in sales of their products. However, Smallwood's name is STILL on their website as the inventor of this product.
We challenged Mr. Erickson that he had told his attorney falsehoods and we could easily prove this. He was upset and called us nasty names. It would appear that the owners of this company found themselves involved with Smallwood, to the extent that they have to pay him to have the product made and shipped to the USA from China. Like many before them, they invested their time and money in this endeavor without realizing who and what Smallwood is. Once they knew they could not get out without losing their investments, they continued to do business with Smallwood at their own risk. We cannot really review their product, but what we can say is that if it is coming from Bob Smallwood, then its certifications, patents, and warranties are suspect.
We duly informed Erickson that if he wished to share his story we would be glad to post it.

Satic, Inc and Bob Smallwood
Satic, Inc., one of Smallwood's spinoff companies which gOt its start in Montana, is now adding an office in Tennessee. The owners have been advised of Smallwood's reputation, yet they continue to misrepresent the company based on Smallwood's misrepresentation of himself as the inventor of today's fluorescent lighting and the shape of today's compact fluorescent bulbs. The company claims it has certifications for its products, but they would need to publish these online for me to believe it.

How Bob handles Civil Lawsuits
Over a 32 year period, Bob has become something of an expert at "handling" civil lawsuits against him and/or his companies. Because he is good at pretending he is a wealthy businessman, he has been able to hire attorneys of good reputation to take on his cases. He learns very quickly and knows how to totally stonewall a lawsuit against him. In fact he often gets his attorneys to believe his "stories" about people who are suing him, so much so, that he has successfully stiffed the attorneys for many thousands of dollars.
You first problem is finding him in order to have him served with a subpoena. When found, he will claim he is someone else and avoid process. In the past, many had to have him served by a private investigator with a picture of him in his hand. At the present time you can look up his companies, mostly in Colorado. and have service sent to the registered agent.
Second, whatever your accusation, he will deny it in his answer, or state that he does not remember. He may even accuse you of doing something nefarious. He avoids discovery, and also depositions. If he feels he has the upper hand, he will have you deposed and cost you as much money as possible. Your attorney may end up having to file motions to compel anything you want from him, over and over. The idea is to drag out the process as long as possible and cost you as much money as possible so you will eventually give up.
Third, let's say you finally get to trial. He will probably not show up. The judge hears the case and awards you money plus damages. You have a judgment, BUT again you have to find him. If you find him, then you have to find out where he banks, and then obtain a garnishment of his bank account. He moves money around from bank to bank, often keeping it in business accounts which are more difficult to pierce. He does not pay himself a "salary", so you really cannot garnish that. He does not keep property in his name, so that is not an option either. The idea is that he can outlast you, and then when it is possible he will bankrupt again. He just concluded his third bankruptcy in Colorado, 2005, so it will be a few years until he can file again.
Law enforcement, and bankruptcy bureaucracy tend to be useless. Bob was investigated by the FBI in Virginia in 2001, for defrauding investors in a company he had at the time. They decided not to prosecute him, since their priorities were on terrorism, and because they felt he operated just within the law. I don't agree with the latter assessment, because if his bank records were found, law enforcement could see what he has been doing. That is why he avoids due diligence. It might be worth alerting and complaining loudly to the Attorney General in the state where he has the business. Some investors in Hawaii have already gone the FBI route, and they got nowhere. Several of Bob's victims really leaned on the US Trustee in Colorado about what we knew was a fraudulent bankruptcy. However the UST's office does not even have a trained investigator and did a very poor job of it, even though they had access to quite a lot of data suggesting that Bob was lying through his teeth. I personally sat on the phone through a six hour deposition, and listened to him lie constantly about his status and reputation, his purported illness, his ownership in a company from 10 years before which he said he sold for several million dollars. He actually bankrupted this same company, claiming no assets and discharging well over a million dollars in debt and judgments against him.
This is bad news for anyone who wants to sue him. This is the purpose of this blog: to warn away anyone doing due diligence now or in the future.
